The Beginning Of Natasha’s Food Adventures
Hello everyone and welcome to Natasha’s Food Adventures! I am so excited to finally launch my first ever solo blog. The majority of my blogs will of course revolve around wonderfully delicious food, but to kick things off I wanted to introduce myself.
Just a little background on yours truly….
My full name is Natasha Englehardt. Some of the things I love most are: cooking, my boyfriend Jarod who is also my official taste tester, my family who all reside in Washington state which is where I grew up, my two bunny babies Hopsauce and Vader, living in San Diego (hello delicious mexican food and beautiful beaches), Disneyland, Design & Photography, Video Games….ok I think you get the picture. 🙂
I work full-time for the school I graduated from, Platt College San Diego. I have two degrees from them. An Associate’s in Graphic Design and a Bachelors of Science in Media Arts. I combine all of the things I learned along with blogging, social media and teaching to make-up my current position at Platt. Let’s just say I wear MANY hats.
So where does food blogging come into all this? Well, like I previously mentioned I LOVE to cook. Something about it is very calming to me (unless of course I burn something). When I perfect a new dish I’ve never tried it gives me a sense of accomplishment. If my boyfriend is able to devour his entire plate, I know it’s a successful recipe. Plus, I like knowing exactly what is in my food. The only way I can truly control that is by cooking things from scratch at home.
When did my love of cooking begin? Well, it wasn’t always delicious results. For the longest time I could not make decent scrambled eggs… but thanks to my stepmom, Amy, I was able to remedy that problem. My very first success was freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. This was probably the first thing I remember making at a young age. They became such a popular treat among friends and family that they were even given their own name, Tasha Cookies.
From then on I just enjoyed cooking for my friends and family more and more often. I suddenly realized that I was starting to get the hang of this cooking thing. Fast forward years later and here I am. Inspired by all the bloggers I’ve discovered on social media like Pinterest and Instagram, I couldn’t help but take things to the next step by sharing my food adventures with anyone who might be interested.
By no means am I a professionally trained culinary artist, but at least I have a new outlet for my cooking and food passion. If you would like to join me on this fun and delicious adventure, I invite you to follow me on social media through the following links:
